Family Child Care Centers

A Family Child Care Center is defined by Wisconsin DHFS as "a facility where a person provides care and supervision for less than 24 hours for at least 4 and not more than 8 children who are not related to the provider." (HFS45.03(9) in licensing rule book)  The following courses are needed for certification:

  • Introduction to the Child Care Profession
  • Fundamentals of Family Child Care
  • Fundamentals of Infant & Toddler Care (if caring for children under 2 years of age)

All listed courses from Work & Family Consulting, Inc. are approved by the Wisconsin Department of Health & Family Services.
