Kim Fabich, co-founder and president of Work & Family Consulting, Inc. is an early childhood trainer and consultant who has been serving the needs of child care providers since 1978. Work & Family Consulting, Inc. was established in 1995 and is proudly committed to offering high quality services to child care providers in order to positively impact children, their families, and the professionals who care for them by providing current, relevant, and hands on training and consulting services to early childhood programs.
After several years of teaching preschoolers in early childhood settings, Kim began a 10 year career with Children’s World Learning Centers in Minneapolis, MN metropolitan area and Milwaukee, WI. As a Center Director with Children’s World Learning Centers, Kim has a history of improving the operational and financial performance of centers with past performance issues. Additionally, she was responsible for new center start-up, including development and execution of the marketing program, sales, and staffing.
Kim has 24 years of experience training early childhood professionals. She began her training career at Dakota County Technical College in Rosemont, MN as an educator for child care providers and parents. Upon her move to Wisconsin and while working with Children’s World Learning Centers, she became an approved early childhood instructor with Milwaukee Area Technical College in Milwaukee, WI where she taught the entry level classes for Wisconsin early childhood providers.
Kim founded Work & Family Consulting, Inc. in 1995 as the first independent training agency to be approved through the Wisconsin Department of Children & Families. She and her staff are approved Master Trainers within The Registry Professional Development Approval System and provide state-wide training for child care administrators, directors, and their staff. Kim frequently presents at local, regional, and state-wide early childhood conferences. Kim served on a state-level committee with the Department of Children & Families to redesign the entry level certification courses required for child care providers in 2002. She continues to serve on The Registry Professional Development Approval System committee and The Registry Professional Development Approval System Adult Learner Class committee. Kim is a member of the Wisconsin Child Care Administrators Association.
In addition, Kim recently accepted a part-time early childhood adjunct instructor position with Northeastern Wisconsin Technical College in Green Bay.
